Has anyone ever sold a £15k + car on ebay??

Seems like a total waste of time when compared with the fee's they charge..

I've been looking at their completed listings. Classified ads always seem to be readvertised and auctions never achieve their list price. Buy it now prices remain unsold...

Unless they have changed their fees recently (quite possible as they do every couple of weeks)

I thought the fees for the cars section was actually quite reasonable compared to the likes of Auto Trader which with its 'new' website is hardly attracting the punters either.

Best to use the site as a way of generating interest in the car rather than selling it through Ebay at that kind of price.

I'd need to check but I thought there was a max sellers fee on vehicles. I never see the point of reserve prices on eBay, just list at the minimum you would accept.

I'd also agree with this

A friend once bought a 205 gti of off ebay, we went to look at the car and agreed on the price. the seller then made my friend buy it through ebay rather than just removing the listing as he didn't think it was fair on ebay to do them out of their fees.

Mad when you consider how hey treat sellers.

I sold a mk4 golf r32 via ebay classifieds a few years ago.

I had the make me an offer option and I think it cost about £30 when it sold. If I remember correctly it sold for about 14k
