Mobile phone mounting

Has anyone come across a decent mobile phone mount solution? I've got an HTC desire and want to strap it to the "leg" on the console or something - if I sucker it to the windscreen surely it will block half of it!

any ideas?

I'll get a picture of mine, I've got a 'sucker' right in the centre of the screen under the rear view mirror.. it does limit vision, but I've not found it too dodgy yet..

I use a Halfrauds one which is really designed for a PDA. The sucker is very strong unlike some Tomtom ones and it's adjustable. Take your HTC in with you and try it first for fit. Not too invasive on the view either.

U use a mount suckered to a bean bag base sitting in the centre console, with the advantage that I can swap to the Tom Tom as needed...

My Iphone mount is pushed in above the roll bar on my lightweight. Means I can use the sat nav features etc without blocking my view.

Mine sits between the rear view mirror and the passenger sun visor. Mounted on a very flexi Brodit mount. Not cheap but VERY good quality.

Actually only 5th can be a little obscuring, 1st and 3rd aren't so much of an issue...

The previous owner had this made up. Simply clips around the back of the 'hand grab'. Currently carrying a holder/charger for my SE Xperia X10
