Well folks the waiting is finally over, as I type Adam & Ali are driving their new toy through the streets of Bromley.

We've just waved them goodbye from our house after Ian (Lake) bought them round for a cuppa & a chat.

I have to tell you he looked very happy as they drove away....I think 'the grin' may last some time.

I shouldn't think you will hear from him untill tonight, too busy having fun on the drive home.

Didnt get a chance to switch the 'puter on all weekend!

Didnt go straight home, went to see parents and grandparents. Then went to see my brother and took him for a ride in it. Got home late.
Next day drove up to Donnington (~400miles round trip) roof off all the way up even when it rained!

507 miles in one and a half days of ownership!

However I see a little problem on the horizon. If you continue at your current driving rate (338 miles per day), your 8000 mile insurance policy will run out on the 29th of this month

I thought that 8000 would be more than enough to start with, now Im thinking otherwise.

Then again, 3 tank fulls have gone in it already. I dont think I could afford to run it for many more than that!

(Strange how I didnt once care about the fuel costs this weekend. I wonder how long that will last?!

Just to mention about policies. I have found that its a lot cheaper buying a restricted mileage policy and then just increasing it by a couple of k as and when required. I have done this twice now, and both times its worked out much cheaper than starting off with an unlimited policy.

I think I'll increase the mileage allowance as the time comes. (They didnt ask me how many miles it had on it anyway so I dont see how they would know).

Ali is at home at the moment. I might call her and ak "how my baby is today" just to see what she does when I follow it up with
"no, not you....I meant the Griff!"

Anyway, don't take all this lion down, but it'll be a catastastrophe if you can't keep charging after your policy runs out on you.....

It did make me paws for thought. I was but a whisker away from changing the policy now but tabby honest I think its worth leaving tail later. After all, we get quite a few moggy days like this when I will be decorating and mouse hunting for new property instead of driving.
Its a shame my policy has the mileage claws in it but I think it should do fur now.

Funny you should mention that. I was just thinking earlier that everyone was saying time would go slow waiting to collect the Griff, but they didnt tell me that it goes even slower still when the Griff is sat in my garage and I have to work all day and then drive the Golf home to get it!
