A chap from Surrey first had it on a V8S back in the early 1990's. I forget his name right now but I know he went to Zolder in it one year (only just beat my 3000S in the acceleration test!) He bought the plate when the DVLA first starting selling off the A-series plates
I assume he let the plate go when he sold the car, possibly the dealer bought the car from him and retained the plate.

it definately is Fernhurst's number plate and was on a Tuscan demo before they lost the Francise, but i think they still own it.
We need to choose words carefully when it comes to this as Fernhurst are always keen to point out that they terminated the franchise. TVR also give me hassle when this topic comes up so we'll leave it at that!
Thanks for the replies, sort of confirms what I expected.
My car was bought new by Mr F J Galea from Station Hill Garage in Farnham orig with a K plate then had A11TVR on it.
The next owner bought from Fernies I think and had RIB **** on it, then the next had MJI 5900 which stayed on it until it was sold to TMS. I then bought it after it was passed on to David Gerald with a different K plate so I need to convince Fernies to do the decent thing and give me the A11TVR plate back for 50 quid
Cheers,
JSG.
