Trip to WilliamsF1 in Grove Oxfordshire?

Trying to gauge interest in a trip to see Frank Williams F1Collection up in Grove, Oxfordshire here
There are two options :
1/ £65 + VAT per person which includes refreshments on arrival, A tour
of Frank Williams car collection and Hot and Cold Finger Buffet lunch.
2/ If we don't have lunch the cost is £35 + VAT per person with
tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.
An exclusive tour can take place on a date to suit us subject to
availability and requires a minimum of 15 people. All you would need to do
is get there !
Let me know. I think maybe organising it in Nov/Dec might cure the
winter blues and get some petrol back in our veins !

I'd be very interested in a tour around the F1 factory, to get a view of the inner workings of a Formula One team, and would be more than happy to pay the suggested cost.
I'd think that £65 + VAT is a silly amount of money, however, to shell out have a look around a collection of cars with a bite to eat laid on.

It's an impressive place, but you'll only see the conference centre where the F1 museum is housed. This is a seperate building from the F1 factory so you'll see nothing of what's currently going on.
The museum is OK but you can walk round it easily in an hour. £65 is a lot to pay for that and some sausage rolls.....

It's worth a look definitely, the car collection is like Minichamps for grown ups and some of the cutaway stuff upstairs is also very interesting.

That's still there. Or at least it was last year - it's cut to look like a pitstop - mechanics and all.But is it all worth £65? I'd say not.

They have a 'simulator' upstairs (or it was upstairs when I went)

You won't go in the factory, no way! I've worked there, they contracted me in to do some work and it was near impossible for me to get in the building to do the work - THEY CONTRACTED ME!! I did get into the room where they make the steering wheels, strip searched, security guards, no mobile phone! The drivers gym was pretty impressive!
No this is just a tour of the museum , and I think I would book the £35 option, which is still a lot of money , but at least you get to look round the collection, which is not normally open to the public I believe.
Will see whhat I can arrange - I know they have an F1 simulator there, and also maybe we could et someone to show us round .

The museum is nice, £65 seems a bit steep though. I was lucky enough to get a tour of part of the factory as well (but nothing too sensitive) and that was by far the highlight. 
I will drink some coffee from a Williams F1 cup from the the cafe, that they were selling for charity that day, now you have reminded me

@ Kinky - I thought McLaren was a closed shop ? - do you have a pair of wirecutters so we can get through the fence !
@ Ozone - completely correct .....NOT in Banbury, That's what I get for emailing a mate about an event up at Prodrive, as well as posting this at the same time - Grove it is ! I've corrected the title now
Absolutely right on the comments on the cost - but if you want to see it , I guess it's £35 !!!, and I wouldn't be paying the £65 option.
The Richard Burns Tribute at Prodrive up (in Banbury !) was free !, I guess the only way to see it for free is to wait for Williams to win the constructors title , which could be some time !

Every year the staff are allowed to take a couple of friends round the factory and museum, I went about 4 years ago and it was excellent. If you have an interest in engineering but didn't take that direction in life you'll find it amazing, seeing all the rapid prototyping, measuring room, machining, manifolds being made etc just brilliant. Stuff I didn't know existed or could be done. I could have spent a week or more there and been totally engrossed.
If its just the museum, I wouldn't find it so interesting the engineering explainations of how things work is great and I spent the most time in that area. The cars although nice to see the progression of each years cars all lined up, well I'm just not that excited about a load of stationary F1 cars as they stand. I kind of stopped watching F1 after Senna died, it seemed to loose something that to this day I don't think its regained.
