For years I'd thought about forming an ASS (anti sunroof society).

Always hated them - leaks, squeaks, rattles, eat headroom, extra weight in the worst place etc.

Had a life changing moment yesterday afternoon.
Sun shining, windows down, sunroof back, foot down.
Loved it.

I was converted to sunroofs many years ago. I used to from Stoke on Trent to Cirencester for a project I was on. In my MK 1 VW Scirocco with the removeable sunroof, there and back in a summers day - and get paid for it !

Hate the bleeding things. Ruined my car for the orginal purpose intended. Having travelled in Adamt's RUF at Brunters without a sunroof I am disgusted that Porsche GB make them standard for Turbos and don't tell their customers they are losing headroom because of them and they can delete the bloody things if they wish.

Consider the raw nerve well and truely hit.

My 944 has a huge sunb roof- more like a Targa, really.

I think they're wonderful for balmy spring days, sunroof out, heater on. Wonderful.

No idea about stealing headroom, though. Never worked that out...

Mr RUF will very rarely make a sun roof car, he advises his customers against it, the structural rigidty you lose and the weight you gain is quite a bit imho
