Help with set up / connections?

Our old CRT telly has given up the ghost, so we have ordered a new system.

The new TV arrived first and the 5.1 Bluray Home Cinema is due to arrive this morning!! Both have a range of inputs / outputs (Optical / HDMI / Scart and Line in / out).

However, I have two other bits of kit I need to connect up and I can't work out how or where they should go.

First bit of kit is the Tvonics DTR-Z500 which has an aerial in and out, and a scart in and out.

Second is the Hearing Loop http://www.rnid.org.uk/shop/products/loops/megaloo... which has a single scart socket, two mic inputs and line inputs.

Any help with where and which wires should go where gratefully received.

It depends on the TV really, normally as follows,

Hearing loop - Connect red/whithe phonos from the TV audio out to the line in on the hearing loop. Failing that connect a scart from AV2 on the TV to the hearing loop, failing that use the provided microphone and stick it close to the speaker on the TV.


Tivonics - Connect the Aerial to the RF in then the RF out connects to the TV Aerial in. Connect Scart from the Tivonics AV1(TV) to the TV's AV1

Blu-Ray - Connect a HDMI from HDMI1 on the TV to the Blue-Ray, if both devices support ARC then you dont need an optical, if they dont then connect the optical from the TV optical out to one of the Blue-Rays optical in's
