Snow Boarding for christmas?

Hi all, Myself and a friend are looking at going away for christmas 2010, slightly short notice preferably somewere in europe, Both been in the snowdome at mk a few times, is anywhere going to be open? ski lifts/passes? what do i need to know? a point in a the right direction would be great, been looking at the thompson/first choice packages and have a budget of about £1000, so any recommendations for two 20YO single lads with a good nightlife would be great
