Low temp washing, clean bedbugs.

Boiling water and fire, they don't like it up them.

Yes.. I seem to recall theres another recent thread on here. We had to do one of our kids flats when a friend of hers flew over and bought a load back in the luggage. Sprays are easily found

Is it a student rented property, then if it is, the landlord possibly is responsible for bed bugs, together with other rodents.

Not as easy as you'd think. HArdware shops used to do DOOM, for bedbugs and moths, but on the banned list now.

BUt there are online suppliers of trade stuff you can get. Still not as powerful or effective as DOOM but should do the job.

But remeber to find the source of them. We moved into a house 6 years ago and found a few on the windowsills of some rooms. Traced it after about 3 months of solid searching to an infested birds nest in the chimney, and there was a small crack through to the loft, from there they were coming in through light fittings. Loft was infested, but they are clever boogers as you cannot see them without a damned good look.

BY the way, the bed bugs name comes from where they tend to bite you! ie in bed. They rarely actually LIVE in the mattress or sheets, usualy nearby in crevices and woolen carpets. Look for areas of damaged carpet, or "white carpet fibres" that are actually the larva!

Our loft infestation was sorted by dusting diatemetrious (sp) earth around. It is a powder made from ground up fosil shells and pierces the bugs bodies and dehydrates them Added bonus is no spiders, wasps, blubottles etc in loft, except dead ones!

Bit harsh. Some landlords wash.
