My brake disc is scratched, it must of got a stone caught in it, it is definitely not a worn brake pad.

My MOT is due, will I pass?

I'm just going to get a photo of it now, if it will help.

Our disc was the same , if i can recall the tester never failed .

Your better off getting a second opinion from a pro though.

I don't think photos will help you pass the MOT.

Photos to help people judge, to see If the scratching is a failure or not.

Assuming it's front, it will fail if the brakes are out of balance, which I would think is unlikely just due to a scratch; it won't fail just because of a scratch.

After market yes, but the scratch only occurs on one of the discs.

I'll upload a photo now, Ignore the rust, the car has been stood for a while.

If it's not weakened, insecure or contaminated by oil, grease etc it will not fail on the condition of the disc, though it may have an affect on the braking efficiencies.
