Part-ex the E220 (or sell it on PH) and buy this

Sooo tempted, for some reason I love the lowly 280.

Where the Hell did they get that from?

Was one of the directors at the time knocking off one of his secretaries?

Back on topic, a friend of my Dad had one of these in the day a very very nice old boat!!

I would.....if it was my kind of thing? wink

Paul, you are so on the same page as me, though having driven the W140 in 280, 320, 420 and 500 guise, I did find the 280 rather underpowered. But the temptation is there to buy a diplomatic flag holder and pretend to be an African dictator... biggrin

There's two types of taste, good taste and other people's tastes hehe

I like it, but the colour is a bit ... honda jazz. That and I'd rather have a 7 series but I appreciate you're a Merc lover smile

It's a gemstone or gem (also called a precious or semi-precious stone, or jewel).

My mates Auntie at school was called Beryl.

She had a 40 a day habit and the beginnings of a mole beard on one of her chins. A gem means nothing to me.

Do it. The downside is limited, if any.

And if you get some free time in the evening, you could always do some part time work as a airport chauffeur/mini-cab driver.

Garlick- I very nearly bought one a while ago from the place I got the ranger classic.
Had I not been smitten with the ranger, I would have gone home with it.
Huge lump of metal for the cash- a little underpowered perhaps, but that isn't the reason you buy one?

Comfy, bulletproof, and envy creating tool extrordinaire- anyone with a vague wiff of petrol about them would surely want one deep down?

Get it.

I'm waiting excitedly for the e mail reply. I bet they are closed on Sundays frown

I'll call in the morning, just in case they are open
