I am getting so racked off with whoever operates the overhead gantry signs on the motorway network. They tell me, with lights-a-flashing about a problem on the M25, 140 miles South which I have 2 hours to think about avoiding but cannot advise me of the length of queue or suggest I leave the A1M and use the A63 to nip passed the blockage from the accident, but instead leave me sitting in the 'queue caution' which it seemed had been running for well over an hour.
And I sense that often the only reason we have a caution to queue for is because they have put the 'queue caution' signs on because the next gantry says 'end'. No wonder motorists ignore them.
Do they have rules as to what signs to use and when? They are so numpty consistent I am thinking there must be a colouring-in book of instructions for operators.
