Hi guys, I bought a 1970 series 2a last winter to get me to work in the bad weather(I live in the middle of a hill around Sevenoaks)and to act as a general work horse for collecting logs etc. I've never checked the tyre pressures before and the wheels and tyres aren't standard. The tyres are made by General and it does state a maximum load weight at 60psi. Does that mean they should be inflated to 60? I'm aware that you should have different pressures according to what you want to do, but I'm not going off road(intentionally!)and will only occassionally drive in the snow if we get some.
I've attached a picture of the beast outside my house last winter, you may recognize the tyres from it? Cheers

I would work on something like 28 on front and 30 on rear and see how it feels.

If chucking a load of logs in back go up to 36.

If steering feels heavier try 30.

Thank you, I will give it a go and see what happens. Steering is exceptionally heavy but I figure there's a lot of weight and no power assistance, so expected!

35 psi all round wil be fine. Steering should be smoth and not that heavy if you have the original big steering wheel
