ABout a year ago I installed some games that came with a Logitech keyboard - and they contained Wild Tangent. It got too invasive - like Real Player - so I uninstalled them and also picked through the registry. Some time later I got AdAware and cleared out another few entries.

Last night I updated AdAware and then found no fewer than *58* WTs!! They hadn't been found by the earlier version - so has WT been altered to dodge it or does AdAware simply not flag alerts?

Unfortunately, WT is installed automatically by a number of web based games - and I don't mean games from dodgy sites. I know this because I keep having to clear it off my own PC whenever my 10 yr old daughter has been playing online.

It appears to be a required component for some games to work so if you have palyed online games since your last clearout, then there is a chance it has been re-installed.

I'm pretty certain installing Spybot will stop Wild Tangent installing. If it doesn't, Spyware Blaster will.

Thanks - is it feasible to have AdAware, SpyBot and Spyware Blaster all installed or is there a 'best ' one?
I was surprised that AdAware could find WT on a search, but not flag it up in advance, as Spybot has done several times with 'Avenue A'.
