ebay special ! 750 Formula Race car.

Have been looking in reguarly to pistonheads for years and thought i'd post some pics up of my little race car see what you all think. As the title suggests i spend too much time trawling through ebay for bargain parts as funds are so so limited which just drags parts of the build out far longer than i'd hope! However the end result will be hopefully be worthwhile and bear in mind what you see here stands me currently at around 2k some of which is down to my work admitadly!.
so what ya reckon?? car is being built to formula 750 specs

engine is a fiat 1108 fire £1.99!!
axle is from morris minor £8!
punto rack £8.
sat the other weekend and taught myself how to use a sewing machine to cover seat and make headrest total cost £12

Indeed thats exactly right and they were running them highly tuned the modern fiat engine gives better performance whilst not being highly tuned and are v easy to come by!Thanks for the positive comments guys!

Alright skip! Thanks mr! What bit's can you get for your engine for that! I could do it for a living but people will just want ropey old vauxhall's built' ha ha ha.

Absolutely fabulous, wonderful to still see someone building a race car rather than just 'buying a drive'.
750 Formula is still one of the hidden jewels of British Club racing with a fabulous history (Colin Chapman, Jem Marsh, Eric Broadley, Len Terry, etc) although with my pedant hat on the title of the thread should be 750 Formula Race car rather than Clubmans race car!

You'll be amazed at what you can do if you try! I'd never used a sowing machine before in my life but i had an image in my mind of what i wanted so sat down and figured it out/made it up as i went! I can't afford to race a car but the way i see it first i got to have a car to not be able to race! If there's a will there's a way as they say!
