Driving test to include "indpendent" driving

Sounds like a brilliant idea to me - so many people you see being dangerous at 20mph as the dither and wander across the road trying to work out where they're going.

Again, makes perfect sense. You can't actually insure a car at 17 any more, so why can you still pass the test?
