Rough idea on electrics pricing?
Discussion
Just after a really rough idea of what would be a reasonable cost for some electrics to be install - basically a new zone ring main in an extension with 10 sockets, and extensions to the existing lighting circuit for 6 new lights. No floorboards down and all holes drilled already so extremely easy access and routing, all walls already chased and back boxes fitted.
Assuming the existing fuseboard is up to date, main earth, main equipotential bonding (gas and water) are in place, and the existing lighting circuit tests ok to add on to......around £400 ish and second fix included (you supply materials)
Make sure who ever does it can sign it off tested/inspeced and certificated....he/she should test the lighting circuit first to check its condition !!!
Its not as simple as it seems because the 17th edition wiring regulations are very strict regarding additions/alterations.
Good luck, and i'd reccommend using an NICEIC registered electrician, whilst some of the eejits on here will tell you to do it yourself!!!!!
