Wierdest thing you ever found in your car
Discussion
I've just managed to extract a live kitten from the engine bay of my friend's car. We'd driven 3 miles from work and heard a distinct mewing sound from under the bonnet. The kitten took a little bit of "coaxing" to remove (ie: I had to prod it with a long stick), but in the end, it hopped off the undertray and scuttled away, no harm done.
This got me thinking that it can hardly be the strangest thing anyone has ever found inside their car. What have you found in your car?

Unfortunately, it hopped it before I could grab it, and it ran off as I approached it. I think it might have climbed into the car where it was parked, and not at work.I say "kitten," but it looked 4+ months old.

I have found a dead rat cooked against the engine block in an old car of mine. I was wondering what the smell was for days.
I also found a set of duel controls and amp cabling to the boot in swmbo's old car. It must have started life as a driving instructors car, then had a big sterio install at some point before she got it.

Driving in America at night and something flew in the window of a friend’s car and was fluttering around. We all start franticly flapping and we assumed it had flown back out as the fluttering stopped.
2 weeks later the car smelt bad (cabbage bad), and we could not find anything in the car. Returned home to the UK and my American friend emailed me saying he found a massive dead bat under the passenger seat.

Accelerating off a roundabout in my old 156 Sportwagon there was a sudden loss of power so I pulled in at the side of the road. The engine idled perfectly, just wouldn't rev. Had a look under the bonnet and all seemed OK. Asked my missus to rev it and noticed the air intake pipes collapsing. Turned out this big fellow...

must have climbed onto the undertray overnight, sat there while I was pottering about and then disappeared up the intake when I gave it some beans. It was very dead, and very warm, but completely intact (thankfully). Trust me the last thing you want to find in your airbox is a pair of warm furry ears! To give you some idea of scale that is the AA man's A4 pad next to it.

You do realsie that all cars will now have to have engine bays which cannot be accessed by kittens!!!!
