Looks like i've picked up some crap via Hotmail.

I've set up a Gmail account so will transfer all my stuff.

Bloody virus crap...

Is there any way to stop it?

Well, not strictly true. If you use a client like Outlook or Outlook Express, rather than access Gmail via the web page, you can still be clobbered. A lot of trojans/viruses will install their own little smtp server on your machine.
