Today I bought a few bits and pieces for the car, bulbs, wiper, etc. Nothing fancy. As my window rubbers are getting stiff (and covered in green cack) I thought I'd enquire about the price of new ones, for all four doors.

£140. For eight bits of rubber trim.

fk that.

If it brings you any comfort - a similar item for a Ferrari 458 runs into the thousands of £££'s for the same thing

I winced at £78 for a heated seat switch, the comedians even wanted £70 to fit it (takes a whole 20 seconds)

a mate of mine (aluminium engineer, or whatever the term is) fabricated a suspension arm of some sort for some kind of lambo.

he made it for about £30 in material and labour

he didnt know what it was for at the time, some bloke just gave him a snapped one and asked him to replicate.

it turned out lambo wanted a best part of 2 grand for the part.
