I am surprised at my feelings when at last the Vixen passed its MoT last Friday. A big milestone reached after two years slow slog. Very pleasing and satisfying, and may I say a big thanks to you guys for sharing info. and experiences.
Of course its not finished, but at leased will be on he road now and driven at very opportunity.

Its great to see these coming back on the road and all the cars look brilliant. I owned a few Granturas when I was younger and my first new TVR was a Vixen, they are fantastic cars and its about time they had a bit of value. I can never understand why MGA,s are regularly bringing £25000 and 3000S,s a fraction of that. I have just rescued a really nice S3, owned for 27 years and previously known for another 7. It is totally original. Seats, instruments, bumpers, sparto indicators, engine, alloys, badges and wheel centres, small boss original Motolita steering wheel, and on and on. The only departure from original is a recently fitted 5 speed box which enhances its useability and if needed could be easily converted back to 4 speed but you wont !!
.Needs a rear window which could be either Glass (heated or unheated), perspex or polycarbonate. Original, as far as I can tell, Black paintwork, no sunroof. No chassis problems and can be inspected on ramp. Much recommisioning already done---last on road 6 years ago, starts, drives, everything works. I will start to prepare in new year so if anyone interested and has any specific requirements please contact before I start.
