Well Glee S2 has launched in the US and I couldn't find a thread on it here...

I have to say that, having been initially skeptical when I was told to watch it, Glee turned into one of the sharpest, funniest, well-written comedies around. OK, some of the music's a little twee but there's some decent stuff in there too. So where will the second season take things? For those of us who *ahem* watch things as they come out in the US, there'll be much to talk about. If you're waiting until January for the UK appearance, you may not want to read this thread.

Watched the 'Britney' episode last night. Not quite sure how they thought it was a 'storyline' of any sort, it sucked somewhat. Britney's much-feted appearance was a whopping 30 seconds of screen-time in a 42-minute episode (and she was looking a little worn around the edges, it must be said). I don't really care much for her music, but this was more-than-compensated by some cracking one-liners from Heather Morris' character Brittany. Oh, and some of the covers of the songs involved some very non-existent clothing. OK, so I'm easy to please.

Anyone else watching so far, or am I alone as a closet Gleek? biggrin

We watched the 'Britney' episode the other night and found it very funny. Some very good lines, "it's a Briney Spears sex riot" being one of the best.

And Britney in the red skin tight suit.... hmmmmmmmmmm

Does this show involve people bursting into song like a musical! If so you need to be a women or a gayer to watch it!

Part of the show is this but there is far more to it, it's very funny, clever etc, You should watch a couple of episodes first then decide if you need to a woman or gay. I'd definitely say no you can be anything to watch it!!

Ahhh, the typical reaction of an overly hetero man who is desperately trying to not look gay to anyone just incase they find out that they once actually touched another man's winky. By accident, yeah, it was an accident.

Just watch it, and you'll enjoy it. If you start to feel a bit queer just go to your local gay bar and beat a few to death with a baseball bat, that'll 'cure' the feelings you're having.

Dude, this is exactly my opinon of musicals, I don't get why they all of a sudden burst into song. Glee started out a bit like this, I just kept watching for the top notch flange. However it soon changed, not often will the kids burst into song spontaneously, more often it is in the choir room during practice so it makes sense!

Favourite one from season 1 was "I think my cat is reading my diary", closely followed by "I took all my antibiotics at once, and now I can’t remember how to leave.".

Of course we do. We also know how to use 'know' and 'no' correctly.
