Water in the footwell (Again)

I know I have seen these threads, but for the life of me can't find one now!!!

Water in drivers footwell. Not coolant, not redbull, gotta be coming from window as gets worse in rain. Where and how to fix? Sorry in advance

A list of water ingress points on the front offside on the Cerb.

1. The grommets which the throttle cable, water temperature capillary tube brake servo hose pass through
2. Clutch master cylinder cover
3. Pedal box securing bolts
4. Brake master cylinder reservoir bolts
5. Bolts securing bonnet stay rod bracket
6. Oil pipe union
7. Scuttle panel securing riv-nut
8. Brake block mounted on toe board
9. Grommets in floor pan
10. Bonnet release shaft
11. Windscreen
12. Bolts securing bonnet lock bracket
13. Door seals
14. Steering column bearing
15. Indicator side repeater

And the nearside footwell........

1. Wiring loom grommet or multiplug connector on early cars.
2. Grommet for wiper motor wiring
3. Wiper motor securing bolts
4. Expansion tank bracket securing bolts
5. Heater pipes
6. Battery tray securing bolts
7. MAP sensor pipe (barometric pressure pipe from rear l/h airbox)
8. Rivnut for scuttle panel
9. Windscreen
10. Door seals
11. Grommets in floorpan
12. Indicator side repeater

and as for the rear nearside & offside

1. Seat belt securing bolts
2. Door seals
3. Grommets in floorpan
4. Rear screen

Now that's quiet a list.

I'd add just one to that - a crack in the floor itself.

Check you door seals the water is coming in around the top of mine and travelling inside the seal and coming out around the bottom near the corner of the door near the emergency door release

Yeah, I'd second that one, couldn't get it dry inside till I'd pulled the seal off filled the U section that clamps to the car with silicon & pushed it back on.

My problem was master cylinder which I understand is quite common

How did you fix?

Mine seems to leak down the door seal at the front of the door, get to the bottom and leak in just above the door pulls.

New seals? or can I re-seal using the existing rubber and some bath silicone?

I had this and did sort of fix it with silicone, but it kept coming back. In the end I put new seals on and I haven't had any trouble since.

Where did you get the new seals? Clever Trevor? Did you stick them on with anything? or are they just push fitted on? Would like to get the leaking issue nailed tbh and not rely on a car cover!

i put new seals on and still leaked, i put silicon on it but it was old silicon and never dried so have ordered another seal and will fill the seal up. I had a very simular leak on the passenger side and a new seal sorted that one.
