Here is a copy of a post I have done on the Kit Car forum re my Westfield Megabusa Turbo. I thought it might be of interest to anyone on here that is considering more power!..........

I have only done one track day since the turbo was fitted and have only run at 0.8 bar. This gives around 250 BHP but once run in will safely run at 1.5 which would be around 350BHP!!

The tyres only just cope with 250 horses so slicks will be needed before running it with full boost. Initially the car was quite frightening but as the day wore on I got more used to the power. On the road it's incredible but I wouldn't run it at more than .8 bar.

On track days as standard it is a very quick car but loses out over 100mph as the aerodynamics come into it and that's why I wanted more power. Now even with a paasenger it's rapid and the power is instant with no lag.

I know Jarred Frost at Holeshot through Supermoto racing and he has done a great job. I will list the costs below and think the price is very competetive especially compared to what Radical are charging.

Airbox with new injectors.........£580
New EFI with map sensor...........£460
Fuel regulator....................£ 80
Air Filter........................£ 40
Headers...........................£500
Exhaust outlet turbo to silencer..£160
Silencer & bracket................£220
Modified Mitsubishi Turbo.........£800
Steel cylinder head gasket........£ 60
Machined Head block crank.........£160
Custom forged turbo pistons.......£480
Heavy duty starter idler gear.....£120
Procut full gearbox...............£420
Intercooler.......................£500
Labour............................£960

I haven't included lots of other bits and bobs as I had some new gears and heavy duty clutch spring but it came to around £6,500 plus VAT.

Barefoot, last time I asked Radical, it wasn't feasible to retro fit the turbo to the SR3 NA car ... the turbo car has a lot of cooling and bodywork mods plus I think changes to brakes. So I'm not sure there is a "price" they can be fairly said to charge for an upgrade.
