wasp problem but cant find nest
Discussion
Hello all,
Have had a few wasps in our bedroom over last few months but put it down to them coming in through velux windows, in past 2 weeks have found a lot more, up to 20 a day dead in window shutters and have been spraying flyspray which results in more deaths. Wife got stung while swatting one hwile asleep (nice).
Have had a good look round outside and cant see anything whatsoever or wasps swarming.
Its a new house and I think its possible that they are somehow getting in around the soffits(sic?)then getting into our room around the gaps under fitted cupboards. These are probably too large to seal so wondered if anyone has any ideas? I cant take out walls or dismantle the house but do need to deal with problem.
Yes, will of course call pest control if no other resort but they seem reluctant to come without us finding a nest so wondered if anything I can do, spray poison into hole?
Thanks all.

Not much help I know, but now the weather is turning colder they should all be dead soon.
Only the Queens survive through until next year when they will start a new nest, they never re-use old ones.

Had a similar problem to the OP last year and got the pest man out. "You may as well save your money" he said. He reckoned that the best thing was to leave it a fortnight and they'd all be dead, and would not come back to the same nest next year.
He was right
