Anyone changed their Chim/Griff hoop/door seals recently?

Due to a door alignment issue which is now sorted my Chim n/s door has worn through the rubber door seal. The rest of the seal fits well, is perfect, does not leak so I do no want to touch it.
What I would like to do is join in a "new" piece in from the n/s end where it finishes to where it pinches to let the water out.
Therefore what I need is about 75cm of good original door/hoop seal rubber from some kind PH type person who is about to bin their old one. The new stuff does not match so that is why I am after some original one.
(Any suggestions of repairing it with Silicone by any resident clueless bodger plumbers may cause offence
