Frimley Park Hospital - parking!

hello soon to be fellow SASers

I've an interview tomorrow at 9am at Frimley Park Hospital, I've looked at their website and they have parking but says it's limited!! anyone have any idea how bad it is in the morning and if there is anywhere else nearby that may be good for parking?

wish me luck, I'm very nervous and feel ill now thinking about it, but I'm trying to be prepared as much as possible, and don't want to be late!!!

If you get there early enough, can sometimes park in The Grove opposite. Not had to visit/attend/stay at Frimley Park for some time, but didn't have restrictions back then.

There isn't a great deal of offsite parking in the area, unless you're getting there before 08:15.

You shouldn't have a problem parking in the main hospital car park at that time, although parking isn't cheap in the car park!

Not normally a problem to park when I've popped there but the above is definately true!

Had a relative use the car park last week - absolute 'mare. I understand visting times have been rejigged to try and alleviate the traffic/parking problem.

As has been stated before - try parking across the road in residential area.

I parked there last week and met the mrs who was having an xray... went to the ticket machine, tried to put the money in, would not accept it...turns out, you get 10 minutes or so free.

Got in the car, went to drive out, one of the lanes was out of service, so had to back up (which was a pain as there was cars behind me) when I got the barrier, my free time had finished, so it asked me to go back and pay... luckily there was an attendant coning off the out of service lane and he just raised the barrier for me.

The mrs was not quite so lucky, she had a hypo as she was trying to get out, and just completely lost it with the guy in front who was trying to drive out whilst he was on the phone.

She used some choice language, but felt really bad when she found out he was on the phone breaking bad news about a relative...

Good luck for the interview Tracey!!

I had no problems with parking when I was visiting Mrs_Revs, (twice a day for about 5 days).

Also if you do get the job and need to park there every day, there was an option to upgrade your ticket for a week-long ticket when you paid on the way out the 1st time. This was only £10 so whilst short-term it's prob expensive, for long-term it worked out cheap as chips!

(This was 15 months ago though so things might have changed by now)...

Big thanks Ross for letting me park on your drive and even giving me a lift to the hospital and good luck with getting your elise sorted!

Thankfully I was successful in the interview, so just awaiting CRB and reference checks, then I'll be let loose at the hospital

Not sure how long it will take, but I'm hoping to be able to walk to the hospital, only problem will be the time between taking the girls to school and starting work!! will be lots of shifts though so I'm sure I'll be able to work something out!! I believe Charlie is looking forward to helping with the school runs
