Black 110 XS, reg OV10 OXS stolen overnight fom my drive. Live a couple of miles from J11 (Banbury) of M40.

If anyone sees it, please PM or let Police know.

Not a great start to my day...

Did they take it with the keys or bypass the immobilisor/tow it away?

Didn't take the keys. Found the igntion barrel and the rubber bung from the steering column shroud on the drive.

No broken glass.

Doesn't sound like the factory fitted alarm and immobilisor is much cop.
I wonder how they got round it?

It has (had) a towbar and seven seats but no other options. Only done 5,000 miles so basically as new. There was a 'Silverstone Contractor' windscreen sticker (white and orange sticker about 9" x 3") on the windscreen.

Oh, and it's missing one of the side indicator repeaters, as I found one this evening in my front garden - presume they short / open circuit the indicators as part of the theft process.

Having spoken to Northants Police this afternoon, it hasn't pinged any ANPR cameras, so probably not on it's original plates if it is being driven at all. They reckon if it's not found within 48 hours, it will either be in bits or on a boat.

I think they short out the indicators as this shorts out the alarm circuit when it flashes the indicators and blows the fuse. Seems to me a very simple thing for car manufacturers to design out!!

Really sorry to hear that, there was something on here last week about landrovers being stolen in Northamptonshire maybe they have moved a bit further afield , if so this is very worrying

Yes, Northamptonshire Police had put a memo out warning of this. It's due to the relative ease of stealing them and breaking them up, and the value of the parts.
