I have become hooked. It's not the easiest programme to follow, as the episodes seem to jump about, and maybe a bit too slow fly on the wall stuff, but the cars they build and the detail - and the characters involved. Wow!

I gather it's quite an old buy in from discovery, no satellite here, and the legendary boss has since died. But couldn't find another thread, so point me in the direction of one if there is. Fascinating stuff

I found & got hooked on this show last time it was on Quest earlier in the year, and would agree with your comments about it.

I also trawled the net for more info without too much success. I was trying to find out more on the Delahaye Figoni et Falashi type machine that's always in the background.

With all the bad tempers flying about, it's a wonder anything got built. But I'd imagine that's mostly a put on to give the show some 'edge'

The current Saturday night episodes are the latest ones bought.

The other episodes that are on during the week are a continuous loop of about 15.

If you want to be really geeky see how many previously built cars are still knocking around in the background shots.

After this break, coming up, on american hotroooood!

- The Codington crew connect up yet another set of plug leads in the wrong order and shoot some flames out their 8's carby.........
- the whole project is saved from the brink by the "trimmers" round the corner who manage to knock up a show class interior in about 3mins without a single argument......

Watched a couple of these a few months ago, only conclusions I made were, everything is pre done, and Boyd might be famous but he's a miserable basterd

He went to work for Sean at West Coast Customs (where Bling is your friend) and lasted less than one build with them because he didn't like the way they worked!

Why? Were they well organised and did they allow themselves enough time to do the job properly?

I thought he was only ever staying to do the one project, the Boyd Coddington tribute car.

I really don't like either Dwanne or Boyd. Dwanne is an arogant twcensoredt and Boyd is a bit of a fraud, he became famous for a few cars which were mostly all designed by ...er... Chip Foose. Most of the people who left/got fired from Boyd's now work with Chip.

Overhaullin' is much better I think - although the pranks get on my tcensoredts.

Didn't Dwayne get in a huff and not turn up for the unveiling of the WCC Coddington car?

There's now only one person who works for Chip that didn't previously work for Boyd and that's his PA.

Charley has now set up on his own and Duane and Bernt have now set up this:

Charley seemed like an ace guy, very talented and hard worker, put in very long hours even when suffering personal tragedy, always found time to have a laugh, treated everyone well, even the mexicans who often seemed a little ignored in the show by the show and the 'stars'

Really felt for the guy when he got sacked, even though it was probably one of the best things to happen to him.

Charley never got sacked, he left to paint a Riddler Award candidate car for Foose, knowing full well he may not be welcomed back.

Best move for him really, he was always stressing - quite rightly - about the pressure Boyd put on his shop by agreeing to stupid deadlines.

Duane really hams up his persona for the camera, I think the producers asked him to portray the 'bad guy', otherwise it would just be some guys building cars. The few times I've met him he seemed decent enough, but then I've never worked for him.

Boyd was generally as sour in person as he appeared on-screen, that's just who he was. He was very passionate about the business though, but I agree that some of the cars built in the post-Foose days were very questionable in terms of design.
