VIP codes are included in the box for all new purchases. Players that buy used versions and don't have a code can purchase one via the in-game store for $15. PC players will get the content as a game update.

I got the LE of Forza3, all the bits are still in the box, the extra cars were ok. Was thinking this earlier with Black Ops, standard or hardened edition, definately not the extreme one, WTF do I want with remote control car with a camera fitted? Might be different if I worked in a lingerie shop with fitting rooms 
My friend got the Modern Warfare 2 ltd edition thing with the night vision goggles.Cost a few quid, but the goggles were bloomin superb! We tested them walking around a pitch black warehouse and both modes (heat source and sort of grey-o-white-o-vision) made me feel like I was the predator

Metal lunchbox (styled like the ones you make bottlecap mines with in the game), hardback concept art book, Vault-Boy bobblehead, and making of DVD - oh, and a copy of the game.£25 for the XBox version in HMV (reduced from £50)!
The LCE version of Forza 3 has been worth it too - £30 preordered, the keyring and memory stick are nice touches, and Turn10 must have sent me a free car every week on average!
FM3 LE Came with a 2gb USB drive and a keyring all in a nice presentation box. The USB gets used every day, the keyring looks even better now the silver has worn away on everything but the FM3 logo and the box is the centerpiece of my Xbox shelf in my display cabinet, with F1 2010 on one side and Mirrors edge on the other. (Animated or not, Faith is hot!)
Also came with extra cars available for purchase, and VIP membership which gave me a car every two weeks to strip off and bung on the AH for another few credits. Not bad.
FM2 LCE came with a decent sized book on the tracks, makes and some models in the game which is worth a read. Still in my shelf but not out of the case since 3 arrived.
Halo 3 LCE came with a hardbound book in a nice tin about the story so far and the races.
LCEs are up to you, some come with nice bits, some with gimmicks and some you do lose out a lot on by not having, that little crown by my name in FM3 is well worth it! Honest.
Also if you shop around you dont pay much more for it. I got FM3 LCE at 12:01.21 on release morning for 2.50 more than the standard version so for me it was money well spent.

i think all LE editions can be worth it depending on what extras you get really.
