MIL light

I have now fixed my dash pcb with a new pico fuse and the handbrake warning light now works which was the reason behind it although has thrown up my mil light

Looking in the owners manual says that the mil light should stay on for 2 seconds before going out. When i press the start button to get the electric up and running the mil is on and buzzer constantly sounds when the engine is started the mil light and buzzer go off.

Is this correct.

It's what mine has always done. MIL and buzzer while it is "armed" and the immobilizer is off.

thanks you two. downloaded the ecu software on my old xp laptop so going to connect it up just to make sure.

I just checked my ecu and i have two leads a 2 pin black plug/lead and a 3 pin black plug/lead

My car is an 04 reg last of the run car any further help would be great
