Tyre Change advise needed

Sell the car
Park the car and use the bus
Turn the car upside down and drag it everywhere with a landrover

Fill the car with loads of helium ballons therefore reducing the amount of weight on the tyres

Do you mean can you get remoulds? Have your own tyres turned into remoulds? Or something else?

You really need to get 4 new tyres.
Although you have 2-3mm left, you have the worst season for driving coming up and at those levels your wet grip is greatly compromised, so you really do need new tyres all round.

Blackcircles are a good online retailer that many here have used, there is also camskill, I have not used either for tyres however I have used camskill for other parts, I can recommend them.

Car tyres cannot be "refurbished" in any way at home, years ago tyres were returned to the factory to be "remoulded" but these were not as good as a proper tyre and could spontaneously lose the tread layer at speed! I don't think they are available anymore.

It is possile to get good quality part worn tyres with 4-7mm of tread on them, if money is tight 4 of these in a matching brand would be a cheaper alternative and would get you through the crappy driving weather we have to come. You must check them thoroughly though when fitted though, as any defects wont show when the tyre isn't on a rim and inflated.

I dont know, is it possible to get it remoulded ?
Can I buy remoulded tyres ?

Colway and Kingpin still do remoulds. Colway even have a race range.

Problem is he "needs" runflats.

Part worns might be his best option....

Well blow me down! I never knew they were still available, well those have ot to be better than new on the back and 2mm on the front!

You don't actually need tyres. They're only really necessary if you drive on the limit, and are into 'nadgety dynamics' like EVO readers. Plus you have the major advantage of lower unsprung weight without them.

They're not required for an MOT iirc, but you will need to sign a disclaimer at the test centre, stating that you promise not to drive at anything over 8/10ths.

Sorry, but you have a BMW with 'shedded' rear tyres and 2.5mm on the fronts.

So, what you need to do is buy 4 new tyres.
