According to some parts of the motoring press the smart forfour is on it's way back and will be based on the Micra platform.

Below is Motortrends take on how the new model may look (from what I can find out there are no official pics as yet) but given the failure of the previous forfour (it was a good little motor but lets be honest here it was never the sales hit Smart had hoped for) do Smart have the goods to make this a stand out car for the sector or are we looking at another "Also ran" that can't make an impact?

So it's a Micra with 2 more headlights?

looks like a scirocco mixed up with a micra then running on astra VXR alloys, merc c-class headlights and a smart logo
