Too many channels broadcasting too much tat.

Why can't someone launch channels showing something like archives of old Motorsport or music programmes, for instance.

There must be an audience who's like to watch the racing at Crystal Palace in the 60's or Rallycross at Brands in the 80's.

And all those old episodes of OGWT, Later with Jools, So It Goes and The Tube. Someone will have copies of them even if they've been erased.

I know the answer is going to be that it's all too niche, but in the U.S. cable channels are there for the minorities and we need something similar here instead of the likes of Bravo's "Most Shocking Bedlam and Brawls" or "1,000 Ways to Die". And there's only so many episodes of Star Trek I can take!

Chances are that most of it simply doesn't exist any more.

I know, but we do get some nice F1 reruns on the red button sometimes and there are some programmes which have been archived. I'll even donate my VHS collection...
