Am I right thinking with the x308 the super v8 was a daimler, but in x350 guise there was a jag super v8 and then later a daimler super v8?

In any case, super v8s seem pretty rare and appear to command a premium to xjrs (looking through the classifieds). Is there much difference between a super and an xjr, or is it basically softer suspension and a few more gadgets?

I could understand Jaguar, Jaguar Sovereign and above those, Daimler. As for 'super', no idea. Victory to Marketing.

I think the Super V8 was the LWB XJR in effect - could be utterly wrong though!

I'm sure that it's an LWB with limo interior trimmings and a chrome radiator grille. It doesn't have the sports suspension.

Ah, the 'prestige', i had a set of those. Used them on my Alfa for a while, then sold to a Jag owner for £500. By Royal appointment, btw, the Queens car was wearing a set when she visited Wimbledon this year!.
