Bonnet hinge repair

Has anyone in the south had a good repair carried out by a TVR specialist? Who would you recommend and how much does it cost?
I dont want the usual bolt bonded back in with resin. I would prefer a more permanant solution? Alternatively I will tackle it myself if anyone knows where I can get some decent metal brackets

I think the problem is caused by the fact that when the bonnet is up it is only supported on one side and therefore flexes quite a bit. There was a thread on here a few months back of someone who had added pneumatic bonnet struts to aide in lifting the bonnet and stop it flexing.

More likely that there is a tendency to lift the bonnet too high on opening, and the nose of the bonnet then presses against the bodywork. Usuaully cured by setting the bonnet a little high on the hinges to give more room under the lip.

By the way, I had David Batty redo mine most recently, and he seems to have done a lovely job.
