I had trouble sleeping for a while last night after seeing the weather forecast last night, still get excited at the thought of jumping in the Cerb for the drive to any where or nowhere really.

Sunny weekend as well so more hooning to be done!!!!

When it works I love it, unfortunately in the past 2 years that has been never and I just do not get time to fix all the niggly things with it. Being North of Aberdeen with no specialists anywhere in the vicinity does not help either. Neither does spending North of £13,000 on it in the past 2 years and still not being able to drive it. Should have bought a 911 which admitedly is more boring and slower would be able to be used everyday and get fixed locally for the rare occasions that it would need it.

What has been done and why can you not use it?

Its had a full respray (on the insurance), full engine rebuild to a 4.6, ACT exhaust and Manifolds, full chassis rebuild, Nitrons and Eibachs, Polybushes, new radiator, new AC condensor, rebuilt steering rack etc etc.

Now cannot get the engine set up properly and the alarm and immobiliser is goosed so need to fly Carl Baker up to replace it all costing about another £700 and Paul up from Austec to remap it properly now its run in. Its never ending and now nearly Winter so it will need to go off the road soon anyway, so that will be another 6 months of not driving it.

I like where you have spent the money but now you must have just about reached the end, just get the last few bits finished and then enjoy. I use mine all year even sometimes in the snowy weather so long as it is not too deep :-)

You will have one hell of a Cerb when all done!!!!

why not get it trailered down, if you want you can leave it at mine, i am midway between the two... Or drive it down then fly back from Gatwick, must be some cheap flights... Happy to help if i can...

Sounds good value - all that lot for £13K. I have spent nearer £40K on repairs, servicing and upgrades (OK on 3 cerbs). Dont worry about it - lifes too short. Get the car to someone closer to home to set it up for you eg Raceproved.

You won't get that community support in a Porsche! Get it finished and enjoy it on those superb Scottish roads.

same as that. I am a stones throw from a TVR dealer, a local specialist helps me out. Hes awesome and well priced. Space on my drive and a spare room too! hehe
