Went to Toys 'R Us yesterday.....

My sister wanted to go to toys r us yesterday and see what she can get for a birthday party she is planning for her first born's first birthday party in january. She wanted to go to the one in croydon which was 45 mins away from us so i offered to take her there. I searched for the closest toys r us and one in old kent road showed up. So we decided to go there first and see what they have. We ended up going to both of them. Her guest list is about 100 kids in different age categories. Mostly babies but she bought all the return gifts she needed for them. All she needed was 23 toys for the age 3-5 category boys and 20 toys for the same age group of girls.
Here is what she bought


that's 23 thomas the train sets and 20 princess cameras. That is a lot of toys...but..the interesting part for me is everything fit in the challenger



trunk could barely close so we moved some of the girl toys up front.







Not enough head room but i had no choice but to put that train set on top of my head. I remembered most a few PHers when i went to park there too. There were so many rows of parking for toys r us. I parked in the third row where as the second row had 4 cars and the first row had 3 and they were scattered. Not a single car was side by side with another. So i parked in the third row on my own. When we went out to put the toys in the back...


All those parking spaces and he couldnt help but stick to my car. I was careful and slowly inspected the car to see if I got any dings or scratches but thankfully, not a single scratch or ding. I reversed the car into the fourth row and slowly crammed all the toys in the back seats. It didnt bother me that he stuck so close to me, it was just funny knowing there were so many places up front and i purposely parked in the third row and on the right side too, hoping no one would stick to me but i guess drivers feel better sticking to cars in an almost empty parking lot.

prob parked next to you because it's also their P&J too and know you would be a like minded person who is careful

st. Just been told that we need to do Party bags for daughters party on Saturday. Lucky we are northern and that is not an example we will follow.

That's a worrying amount of money. Almost 3 tanks of fuel for the Challenger

Dare we ask what the child whose birthday it is will receive? I suspect that that money in an investment account would see them through a few weeks at college/uni in 18 years.
