The one in Barnet? Erm.. I was there on Friday and they didn't mention anything? They had a shedload of cars up for sale too as well as a new Farbio in the showroom.. I even spoke to one of the guys about booking the car in for some work and that I would ring them to arrange - I can't imagine they wouldn't have mentioned something if they were packing it in?!

I rang them yesterday to speak to Martin about booking the car in and it was Mark whom answered the phone, he said Martin wasn't in and when I asked what time he'd be back, he just said that he didn't know.
I thought this was a bit odd but now it all makes sense.
Apparently the staff were all just told to go home....
Really sad news. One of the oldest surviving TVR dealerships. Once owned by Peter Wheeler/Giles Cooper as a joint venture IIRC.

That's really sad news if it's true.
My Dad used to take me there to drool over wedges in the early eighties. I started using them for servicing in the early ninetees when I bought a 390se and then on and off over the next decade. I have to say that Martin and his team are a fantastic bunch to deal with and I will be very sad to see them go. Let's hope that it can be turned around as I can't think of any local TVR independent I could trust to replace them.

Guess I'll have to find someone closer now. I traveled over 100 miles to get them to service quite a few of my TVR's over the years, including fixing my 450 at no notice after Autocar burnt the brakes out at Santapod in the early 90's.
