Had a long drive in an XF 3.0 Diesel Luxury today. I had noticed the lack of lumbar support and lack of lumbar adjustment on a shorter drive previously, but had assumed it would be something I got used to. However, it just seemed to get worse the longer I drove the car. After a period of time I was getting back ache and try as I might, I just could not get the seat in a position that was comfortable. I felt like I was sitting on a piece of garden furniture,It really spoilt the car for me. Loved the powertrain and the ride and handling. Enjoyed the rotating vents and rising gear selector for the first couple of times, but by the end of the day had got bored with it and couldn't help thinking that the money JLR spent on these toys could have been better spent on an adjustable lumbar system and perhaps improving the tactile quality of the vents and gear selector knob.

Has anybody else experienced similar seat comfort issues with an XF Luxury? Perhaps, I've been spoilt by the multiway adjustable comfort seats in my BMW.

Looks like I would have to get a Premium Luxury in order to get adjustable lumbar or an S model to get the Sports seats, both options put the car outside my budget.

Anybody had similar experiences?

Agree standard XF seats are woeful. The XF-S/XFR seats are the only ones to have. Just wait a www while and they will come into yr bracket.
