O M G! I met Kurt Klaus last night!

Met him at the David M Robinson (Canary Wharf) hosted "unveiling" of the new Portuguese range.
He is such a cool, unassuming gentleman. Very down to earth and willing to talk to any and all about the perpetual calendar movement and the watches in the IWC range. Even managed to get him to sign the watch tray that my PPC came in and also the IWC Museum booklet I picked up in earlier this year.
Also had a look at the Portuguese Tourbillon Mystère Rétrograde. Damn that's one fine watch! Watching the Tourbillon work is just so fascinating, calming and rather mesmerising! I finally get it! Its definitely something that I would love to one day have in the collection.
Have to say, this year has been a very good IWC year for me. Got to go to Schaffhausen and have a private tour of the IWC factory and see the new collection and have a look around the brand spanking new museum and on top of that getting to meet Herr Klaus last night!
The only way it could get better is if I could win the lottery tonight and buy one of each!
