I'm storing my Freelander across the winter, sounds odd I know, but it's in Ibiza! Can anyone recommend a trickle charger for a Freelander? Also, can the battery be charged through the cigarette lighter?

Thanks

C-Tek are the recognised good ones and you will find them well recommended on the Porsche section. Having lost my C-Tek to No 1 son I bought a Halfords branded job which works fine. I believe is was about £28.

The work connected to the battery and not the cigar lighter socket.

I bought a Draper one a few years ago from a local motor factors for about £10 and a heavy duty socket and plug (flashing beacon type), and have used this to trickle several cars without having to lift the bonnet.
