Help me ID a watch please!

Couldn't see the logo or name and didn't really know the chap so didn't want to ask him... 
Rose gold case and bezel. Has an open face so the movement can clearly be seen, just a narrow band (say 3mm) around the outside of the face with hour batons that are the same length as the width of the band. Quite large, probably 42-44mm I would say.
Any idea?
If I bump into him at another meeting I'll try to get a better look!
Not really my style of watch but it was a very beautiful thing, very classy.
