I'm there with the Mrs tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) and need suggestions please for late lunch and drink somewhere suitably nice.

We are staying at the Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf, so walking distance or short cab ride from there would be ideal. Cheers!

Lovely hotel - if you don't find anywhere you'd do a lot worse than eat in the restaurant there especially if you are a steak lover.

You can walk to Canary Wharf from the hotel or it's about £5 in a cab.

Restaurant recommendation really depends on what sort of food you are looking for.

I know it's late, but the Sri Nam is quite good if you like Thai.

Based on the recommendation above, we went to Jamies Italian. Good atmosphere, and good food - I can happily recommend the Cured Meat Antipasti Platter, and the Baked Fish in a Bag. 2 people for starter + main + aperitif + glass of wine = £58, which I thought was not too bad.

After that, we had a quick look at the shopping mall (nothing special), then back to the hotel for a drink, before the ball we attended in the evening.

A very enjoyable weekend biggrin

Diz - I should have said not bad for LONDON... rolleyes

ETA: £10 of the total was chanpagne cocktails, and we also had a couple of side orders. I have no doubt that 1 - the same menu will have different prices depending on location, and 2 - Jamie has probably only visited the place once when it opened...
