What kind of prices would people expect to pay for a flat with electric water heating, cooking and central heating?

Just a rough guide, I know it's how long is a piece of string but a friend has been told that £25 a month will be fine, I thought with leccie prices it would be higher than that....

Depends how much you need in the way of heating and hot water, they are going to be the biggies, I'd expect £25-£30 just from the usual suspects of lighting, TV, Computer etc. (at least that's what I was running on in my 2 bed terrace in the summer). Now I'm using an electric heater for one room and tumble dryer every other day it's almost double that. That doesnt include water as mine's gas.

If it's a modern flat It's probably full of downlights/spotlights, they can be a bit juicy if they're on a lot too.

£100 a month in winter, with lecccy heating, I'd guess. £500 a year?

my 3 bed flat is just over £100 per quarter and i have gas central heating and gas cooker.

I think your friend has been told an optimistic number - i pay maybe £600 a year for both, and rarely use the heating as its a warm flat

I think £25 a month is a tad optimistic. I'd say it's about right without taking any heating into consideration.

I'd guestimate:

Summer 6 months: £25pcm
Winter 6 months: £50pcm

Yes, I agree with you guys, I was thinking £30-40 pcm in summer and then £50-60 in winter.

Just surprised that her leccie supplier told her it should be around £25 a month..... It's not like prices have gone down sharply recently.....

We're paying £60 per month in a 1997 built 2 bed flat. At the moment we're overpaying but we haven't had to put the storage heaters on yet so it should balance out.

Yes, more like £200 per quarter in the winter if you are all electric. Maybe £100 in the summer.
