I've just taken the plung into Italian exotica ownership, admittedly at the shallow end, but the one thing that really struck me when going through the process is how little support there seems to be for Maserati here except for the main dealerships. the huge difference in prices between different vendors in Australia compared to the rest of the world was quite staggering.

If there are other owners out there of 3200's or 4200's who have found good suppliers of parts or a source of information on the cars it would be great to add to the collective knowledge. At the moment it seems the only way to get stuff is to navigate the minefield of bringing it in from overseas.

Regards,

Neil

What state are you in? (And I know it's Saturday night but I don't mean drunken)

We have a Perth PHer with a Maser 3200 but he's been quiet for a while...

In Perth I would assume Barbagallo?

Very nice!

I looked at a red Spyder when I bought mine, but the mileage was just too high. They look superb in bright colours.

Did you buy an oz market car or an import?

It's an Oz delivery ex -Barbagallo car. Apparently they brought in two cars in Ferrari Rosso Corse as a special order at the premium of $5000 on the standard price. As my first Itailan car, I really wanted it in red.

All my other cars have been "sensible" colours so this is a real departure for me. i'm looking at getting some Trofeo split rims as the stock wheels doesn't quite do the car justice.

Sounds great.

Just one question then.

Why the heck are you in here telling us about it? Get out there and enjoy it!
