Hi there,

Hardness is 2,000HV-2,500HV the hardest I can get is 3,400HV but it's not black.dark grey.

Full case and bracelet £400-£450.

That is to DLC the bracelet and case rather than getting a new bracelet and case?

I guess that makes the Seiko case quite prohibitive to get done as it would cost more than the price of a brand new SKX031.

Hi there,

That's the cost to DLC case and bracelet which also includes case refinishing, disassembly, reassembly, pressure testing and postage.

Biggest pain is custom taxes and finding someone that is capable of coating the job properly.

Sure, I wouldn't do the job myself! I've ruined two watches by removing the casebacks...

The least said about my foray into the hands-on world of horology the better. redface

I'll stick to replacing straps and batteries and adjusting bracelets.
