...bought an Lancer Evo

It's a lovely Evolution 5 finished in 'Satellite Silver', it's covered only 57,000 miles and cost my dad £5,995 ($9,530~). The best bit is that it's already got a few modifications, namely Tein Adjustable Coilovers worth like £2,500, a HKS induction kit and an aftermarket exhaust which I don't know what make it is, maybe HKS.

He gets to pick it up the weekend after this next one (16th/17th Oct). Expect many photos. Excited isn't the word.

Cheers gj88, I'm proud of him, finally got himself something 'special' for the first time since his FC3S RX-7 cabriolet in the early 90's. Good on the man.

AshBaldry, it would seem like a logical step up. Go for it if you can afford it mate

Also top marks to your dad al1991, what are they like?

Alas, they've gone now he had a Palma Red Evo8 and a Dandelion yellow Evo 8.

The VI has got to be my favourite I think, congrats to your old man.

My dad got giddy recently over the purchase of a Volvo. Count yourself lucky.

If that's as clean and straight as it looks, I'm pleasantly surprised. I had no idea they were available for only £6k.

Cheers everyone for the nice comments, passed them onto my dad, he's well pleased biggrin

Yazza54, I only have a H-reg Fiesta 1.1LX, I'm only 15 see. Me and my dad bought it as sort of a 'first car' project. That said, it may be sold to a good friend of mine in the near future.

Definitely, I'm just fortunate I have a father nice enough to encourage me so much with my passion for cars. I mean, he's into cars but not as much as I am.

Also, good news, if all goes well we may possibly get this car on Monday, but it all depends whether or not my dad's credit cards come through in the post.

Nice one Ben! (and Bens Dad). Great to have the younger members of PH having a passionate interest in cars, even if they don't own it! When your Dad gets it, get posting an update and pics.

Haha, I may not be the legal owner, but my dad insists that it's 'our' car, we're planning to modify it a bit, tastefully though, promise! He's a fantastic bloke, I'm trying to get him to join up here but he's not too good with computers so...

Don't worry about the photos, PLENTY of them when we get it.

Love Evo 5s biggrin one thing though, watch for pink brake callipers. Not a massive problem, but really spoils the looks. (For pedants)
