Took the tiv out for a blast before and decided I needed some screen wash. Parked up at Halfords, went in and bought some 2 for 1 stuff.
As I got back to the car I noticed what looked like a dark shadow under the nose of the car, yikes it wasn't a shadow it was 2-3 litres of engine oil. The bottom oil cooler hose had split at the jubilee clip, leaving a big puddle of oil and a long trail of the stuff all the way out of the car park. It had happened just as I turned into the car park, well that's where the trail ends.

I fixed the pipe but then had to buy a 4L tub of oil to 'top' it up. All was sweet and no strange noises on start up. Sooooo lucky i think, if I hadn't gone to buy some screen wash I would have been blasting around probably seizing my engine
