Rear plate suppliers?

I've seen this asked about 100 times before, and have searched the archives but can't find an answer.
Where can I order a translucent rear plate from? I've looked at fancyplates.com, but they make no mention of them on their site. Halfwits are adamant that theirs are completely opaque, and won't work with backlit number plate lights. Any other ideas?

I got a quote from info@fancyplates.com last September. A set of "back-lit TVR plates" was available for £27 + VAT + Postage @ £3.75. Might be worth another try with them
Caution req'd with F'plates - the rear plate they supplied to me was not reflective. On querying this with them they advised that they normally tell people this but had not told me when I first enquired by email.
Helpful to start with they said that they were trying to source a material similar to that used by TVR and would let me know.
Several months have passed, they do not respond to my emails and I have a suspect plate.

Wooley, they tried this on with me just over a year ago. I got the impression I may have been their first TVR customer. The initially supplied just a yellow perspex plate (Jan 03). I complained by e-mail and put a warning on here. PH-er "MEL" came to the rescue with a plate from a local maker in Kent - but they were strict on current typeface only. It was better than nothing! Then Fancyplates e-mailed me and said they had sourced the correct material now and did I still want one. I received this around a year ago - but although it's now reflective (honeycomb) it ain't very transparent. I cleaned all the surfaces and illumination, even syuck some ali foil behind but it's still not that see-through. Got a 'warning - unable to confirm' on my MOT but they still gave me the cert. 
Fancyplates' backlit plates... well, aren't! They have a grey backing and simply are not translucent. (as of last summer anyway).
However, they do make very nice plates, so what I did was, got a length of the proper backing from my TVR main dealer and sent it to them so they could put one of their plates on.
According to Adamski and Chim Girl it glows like a belisha beacon at night
Alternatively - just order one from a main dealer.

Fancyplates are translucent, they don't let much light through but then how bright do you want your rear numberplate to be?
I'm not aware of any regulations that say how much light they have to let through - stand to be corrected though.
Plates I got from them over a year ago were definately reflective so no problems there, MOT has been no problem either, if your tester is that picky then maybe somewhere else deserves your custom?
